The clubs open day and barbeque was held at our lake on Saturday 13 June. Some 20 members, friends and children attended. A big thank you to Danny Williams who gave casting lessons to anyone who wanted to try fly fishing for the first time, his focus was mainly on teaching the children present to cast and to show the children the types of insects trout eat by pond dipping. Congratulations has to go to John Evans cousin Jane who after her casting lesson went on to catch her first trout, but she was not the only one to catch fish some 10 trout were landed and several more lost.
